i BOUGHT A USE Proxima UltraLight LS2 projector, BULB IS BROKEN. MY QUESTION IS WHEN I PLUG IT IN, THERE I DON’T HEAR A FAN OR NONE OF THE LIGHTS GO ON. IT IS LIKE THERE IS NO POWER GOING THRU, IS THAT NORMAL OR SHOULD I JUST THROW THIS IN THE TRASH. THANK YOU, HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU
Hi Janet,
The used light is probably a generic lamp and these are often shipped with broken bulbs. Your projector knows that the bulb is not working and won’t turn on. You need to buy a new lamp that is OES manufactured and authentic. We have a blog: “What to do when your projector lamp explodes” (http://www.fixyourdlp.com/2012/07/16/what-to-do-when-your-projector-lamp-explodes/) that explains what to do with cleaning up the glass from your projector. Let us know how things are going.

Hi Ayman,
The Proxmia LS2 needs the Ask Proxima LAMP-019 projector lamp as replacement. It’s important to buy an authentic projector lamp even though it’s more expensive that counterfeit. The counterfeit lamps will work for about one week in the projector and then explode, fade out or damage your projector. You can find this lamp with free shipping at discount-merchant.com.
