I have a Samsung DLP 43″ HD rear projection TV.  The model number is HLN4365WX/XAC.  The bulb in the TV is failing an needs to be replaced.  The product number on it is 100 W Philips BP960024C.  I am confused with what bulb to use as a replacement.  Can you advise what bulb to use and if I can use the new samller bulb with the adapter??

You can use an original lamp, which is an E23 (big and round bulb), or purchase a small lamp with an adapter kit from Discount-merchant.com.

You’ll need an E22 lamp, which is a 132W Philips lamp with a small lamp adapter. If you give the guys at DM a call, I’m sure they’ll help you out!

        Sadie,

        Click on the following link:

        http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-bp96-00224c-p-OEM-Replacement-LAMP-BULB-p/samsung-bp96-00224c-oem.htm

in the pull down menu, choose option #3 for the 100W ballast option. That will be the best bet. I hope that clears it all up :)

Henry: Winding sound could be a bad fan or color wheel. Since you mention it’s getting darker, I’d check the color wheel.
