My lamb had 11,500 hrs on it so I thought it was the lamp at fault and replaced it.the tv continued to shut itself off and got more frequent as time went by. I had purchased an extended warranty at the time of puchase( november 2005)so I called and they sent a repairman. He replaced the ballast and the problem continued so he returned and took the TV to his shop. Just got it back (approx. 3 weeks later) invoice says he replaced the DMD PCB and the DMD IC. Seems to be working fine now. These parts were very expensive the DMD PCB was $501.26 , DMD IC was $269.45 and the ballast was $69.90. Nearly $850.00 just in parts is a lot considering in my local video store I can purchase A new Samsung 61 inch led dlp tv for about $1700.00 Canadian.
