make sure you have the back screwed in all the way. the latch that makes sure the lamp cover is on might not be pushed in all the way. That's what I thought the problem was so I just tried screwing it tighter. Nothing. Tried taking the cover off and holding the switch myself. And the TV still does ...

UPDATE:
When I woke up this morning it started to work. Decided to turn it back off so I could reset the lamp timer and now it doesn't work again. It does exactly what I described at the start of the thread.
UPDATE 2:
After the TV turns off the bottom "Stand By/Temp" flashes.

Just bought new lamp. TV turns on then turns off.
Like the topic says: I just bought a new lamp. Installed it and now my TV turns off right after I turn it on. The steps: Turn on TV. Makes the power-on sound. Lamp flashes green. TV turns off. It doesn't make any out-of-the-ordinary sounds. ex. clicking, etc. It turns on like it normally did when my...
