Is that something I can do? is it worth opening the tv and poking around? I've replaced the lamp before, and it's long out of warranty.

I've had blurry greyish blobs on my screen for awhile. They look exactly like light is reflecting off something inside the tv, like dust.

Is it possible to clean the DMD chip? Is that what's going on with my tv?

My HLR-5067 has had these for awhile now. They almost look like faint beams of light reflecting off something. I haven't been brave enough to open it up and try cleaning since I'm out of warranty. I figure eventually the light engine will need to be replaced, and maybe that will take care of it.
