Has it turned off again? My TV is doing the same thing but it has a standby/temp light that comes on, did your TV have that too?

HELP!!! Our TV is shutting off by itself and the standby/temp light has come on. After a couple of minutes I can turn the TV back on but it shuts itself back off. Did it work? I'm following this discussion because mine is doing the exact same thing. My husband is very mechanical so I was hoping he could fix our TV and not have to take it to a repair shop. He is worried that it's not as straight forward as I'm making it sound.
