Samsung HL-P5063W value?
Hello all, I'm not sure if this is really posted in the appropriate forum, since this isn't a repair question - but just wanted to get some feedback on what the current market value would be on a Samsung HL-P5063W DLP Television? Bought the TV brand new back in mid '05, replaced the Lamp and Color W...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
Got my second replacement Digital Video Board today and installed it. When I first powered up the TV after the replacement, the Lamp light was flashing and the lamp didn't seem to want to fire. And then the TV was shutting itself down automatically, and I was getting a flashing "Lamp" and ...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
Ebay seller did exchange it for me, and was very helpful even though I was slightly past their 14-day reuturn/exchange policy. Seller is nettle75 on Ebay if anyone else in the market, as they do seem to have similar parts listed all the time. Still waiting for the exchanged Digital Vid board to arri...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
Ok... so would you believe that after only a couple weeks with my replacement Digital Video Board in place, I'm starting to have some blackout flickers again!! Now granted, I did buy this replacement board USED on Ebay, so the replacement board itself could very well have been in its dying days befo...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
I don't think you need to worry about the model number, my doubt are with the pictures, I would contact the seller and make sure this is not a DMD board (because of the metal casing...) Thought the same thing originally when I saw this picture, but then when looking other places for a used board I ...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
hhmmm that is a lot of research :o I think you can try the Digital Video Board first, it is relatively cheap and easy to install, you just have to make sure you order it by model of TV AND the board number off the part, since these all look the same and some are for different screen sizes :| Thanks...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
Just adding a bit more info. Came across a post on ecoustics.com forum where a regular poster named "FYI" was answering a ton of questions about DLP problems. In this thread he mentions the following: The DMD is fine. The digital board is the culprit. It tells the DMD what to display. The ...

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
Just giving a little morning bump to this post in hopes of getting a few more replies. This blackout flicker is getting worse, almost to the point of the TV being unwatchable. Did a bit more Googling on this issue to see if I could find an a solution, and I did come across this: http://www.avsforum....

Re: HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker

HL-P5063W Intermittent "blackout" flicker
Hello all, So about 3 months ago I replaced both the Lamp and Color Wheel in my Samsung HL-P5063W with new parts. Originally my lamp had popped, and then within a week's time of replacing the lamp the color wheel died out (with the typical loud screeching noise associated with bad color wheels) -- g...

Re: "Buzzing" sound on Samsung HL-P5063W
Just a reply to my own post here... I did a lot more reading on this issue after having searched the forum and google. I'm about 99% sure that this issue is the color wheel after having read many similar problems. So I went ahead and ordered up a new color wheel assembly (BP96-00674A). Was just real...
