I had the same problem with my Samsung DLP. According to my research, it's the DMD chip. Depending on you model number, Samsung has agreed to pay for a 'one-time' repair. Repair man came back and replaced the color wheel. No luck. He put the old DMD chip back in thinking that the new chip was defective. Nothing. The unit still will not power up.
