Color wheel replaced, but nothing

Postby onelesshat » Fri Oct 02, 2009 5:16 am

Hello all,
I have just completed the replacing of the colorwheel on my HLR6167W. When I try to power it on, I get a flashing Lamp light, then after about 3 minutes a flashing Lamp, Timer, Standby/Temp light.

I hear no odd sounds, and the fans are spinning.

Originally the Tv started acting up about 3 months ago (first time ever/bought in 2006). I Diagnosised problem as colorwheel. After taking everything apart, the color wheel was shattered. About 3 months went by as I waited for backordered part to arrive. I have a single prong wire that I can't find a home for. Could this be my problem? I dont recall taking this loose, but it was three months ago. See no obvious place for it. I have enclosed a picture.

Thanks for any help, and or advice

What is connected to the other end?
That cable should be connected to the DMD board.

The other end is connected to the upper left corner of the board against the right wall.
