my hlt5075s

Postby cincyschwartz » Sun Oct 31, 2010 12:30 am

can someone help me? well first i say i have the 3 blinking lights on front. i have replaced the bulb and the ballast. i had a repair guy come and he said it was my light engine. however he never opened the back of the t.v. to look. he just took my money and ran. so after letting the t.v. sit for a year i discovered that the color wheel is part of this. so i looked at the color wheel and it appears not to be cracked or anything. so i guess my question would be can this still be my problem or do you think it is the light engine itself?

OK....while inspecting the color wheel first look to be sure that all of the prisms are present and none are broken off. If that looks good then gently try to spin the color wheel with your finger. It should be free spinning with little to NO drag at all. Please be careful as this part can easily break. Hope this helps.
Good luck with your repair!
