Bad blotches after cleaning mirror on light engine

I have a Samung HL-T5676S DLP that i purchased used and may have made a big mitake in trying to clean it before installing the new lamp. I removed the light engine and cleaned the convex mirror and the lens with a microfiber cloth and now i see white spots shaped light mushrooms randomly spread across the entire screen. They are most noticable on dark scenes where they appear light patches. I also cleaned the inside of the screen with a feather duster but don't think that casued any issues. Any advise pr help would be great!
