Crosshatch pattern

Model# HLS5687 after several hrs i get a multicolored crosshatch pattern on screen. The picture goes off for few seconds then resumes after several more seconds and remains on. Picture is excellent otherwise, but this happens every day. Bulb is new, that's not it. Ideas, anyone?

Hello Robear38,
Sorry to hear that, to begin with you say you have a new lamp, for the Samsung HLS5687WX/XAA I see that you need a Philips lamp code BP96-01472A. More often than not, I am finding more and more problems with generic no brand bulbs!
If you have that and its set, by what you describe it seems the DMD board begins to malfunction once it gets hot enough. My first suggestion is that you dust the interior and make sure the fans are working. Many times just opening up the back and taking compressed air and dusting everything will let air flow better and to every place.
