HLN617W diagonal lines

I bought a used DLP from a guy who said the only thing wrong with it was the fan wasnt working. "check fan no 1" code.
I replaced the fan, and two other problems showed up.
1. The audio wasnt there. Only after about 30 minutes of "warming up" did the volume slowly return. But if I shut down the tv for just a few minutes, I had to wait another 25-30 minutes before it returned again.
2. Diagonal lines with every imput source except DVI... The lines are BEHIND the menu. It almost looks like lines of "interference" or "noise".
I replaced the analog board, and the audio returned. However the video is still not correct.
The previous owner said he changed the bulb and the color wheel about 6 months ago. Could he have installed the color wheel incorrectly, or possibly created "interference" by not putting something back correctly?
Please help. I am out of options and cannot afford to keep replacing things without some direction..
