Trouble After Replacing Color Wheel

Postby yakytak » Sat Oct 23, 2010 2:28 am

After replacing a color wheel on a DLP HLP 4663WX I cannot turn on tv. I have the following light display of Standby, Temp and Lamp flashing simultaneously. Any suggestions what the problem may be?

If you have replaced the color wheel, make sure the ribbon was put in the correct way! I had mine backwards once and had the same problem for weeks ripping my hair out after changing the lamp and ballast.

You may also want to check the position of the lamp-door switch to make sure it is correct as well.
Good luck with your repair!
