Saturated/blotchy picture quality on my HL-S5679W

Hi all.

I'm having a problem with the picture quality on my Samsung HL-S5679W. The entire screen looks kind of over-saturated with green and gradients of most colors appear blotchy and not smooth at all. If you look at the attached pictures you will see this effect clearly in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Also, I am now noticing horizontal lines appearing across the entire width of the screen at times (maybe during brighter scenes).

So far I have attempted both HDMI and component inputs and experienced the same results. The same problems also occur in the menu screens.

I tried searching, but I'm still not sure whether it's the color wheel, DMD board, or the lamp. Any suggestions?

This can be your digital video board or your DMD board, an easy way to trouble shoot is to try an analog input like coaxial or component vs a digital DVI or HDMI input, if you do not receive any distortion with a digital input, then I would put my money on the digital video board

If you are getting lines in the image it's most likely the DMD board. That is what I would suggest replacing first. The fact that the image is still distorted in the menu screens would eliminate the digital video board. I know discount-merchant has fair prices on complete light engines, but I am not sure if they sell the DMD board by itself.

Thanks for the replies. I get the same picture with component inputs as I do with HDMI. So from the looks of it my problem is likely the DMD board...
