My dlp 56 LED doesn't work

Hello, THank you for this site...

It has been over 3 weeks since I haven't been able to use my dlp tv. You know that sound when you turn on the tv from the get go? It does it several times, maybe 10 times, then it stays "on" but no picture. The LED indicator is blinking next to the front of the power button.... Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix or should i just dump it. I bought it on september of 2007.. thanks for your responses...

When was the last time you replaced the lamp on the TV? What sound are you talking about happing 10 times? Is it a click noise? Is it a whining noise? Noises are good, it helps us diagnose further!

Give us some more information... What model is your TV?

hello ova, thanks for the reply,

I contacted Samsung tech and he said that there isn't a lamp for that tv... He said that it has an LED... THe sound that i hear is the sound that you can hear when any standard tv makes when you turn it on. That clicking for about ten times.. Like if i was turning it on and off.. Plus I opened the back cover of the tv and stupid me the tv was still plugged and i got shocked. Never going again there ever... THat hURT... Nevertheless, do you know who you can repair my tv? Or if it can be repaired?

Jerry..it's been a year so I hope you have it fixed... in case you dont... this is a common DLP LED problem. The problem si the power supply. Replace it for $130 or replace the blown caps on the board.. -- if you know what you are doing.
