My HL61A650 had issues after a bad electrical storm that seemed isolated to the HDMI ports. These are the symptoms and what I did to get around them:
HDMI - shot - will not work with an source
HDMI 2 - Xbox 360 will work but cannot have enable discovery checked - Directv box will not output sound
HDMI3 - everything works including 3D
So now I have the 360 on HDMI2 with enable discovery off. (If its on I get mode not supported) and Directv on HDMI3, sound is working.
This was back in July. In the last week or so the video cuts out, screen turns black for 2 seconds or so almost like a handshake issue. Then is comes back. I am not sure it its related since it was a couple of months ago but is there any way to fix this?
