I have a Samsung HLR 5667WAX

When I turn it on I hear something spin up that sounds normal, then I hear the samsung jingle, then the lamp turns on dimly and shines through the back panel but there is no picture. On the front the green lamp indicator light will blink for about a minute then it goes out and there are no lights lit on the front for a few minutes and then the standby light will turn on and the lamp goes out in the back.

If I take the lamp out and put it back in it will usually turn on normally and run fine for days. Then the same problem will happen again and I'll take the lamp out and try again, usually it will turn on again after a while and run fine.

What do you think?????? Thanks for helping me out!

make sure the back is screwed in ALL the way. If not the sensor to make sure the cover is on won't be pushed in far enough

I was told it is usually a problem with the color wheel......now I have a 9" shadow down the left side of the screen, that is a collapsed light tunnel.

Samsung is sending out a service call and will cover the cost even though it is out of warranty since this is such a common problem.

DLP completely sucks.
