I am trying to diagnose and fix a problem with my 56inch DLP. The picture went Black and White. It is like that even with the menu's. I replaced the lamp about 6 months ago.


I suspect the Color wheel and am looking for instruction on how to remove it for inspection. All the instructions that I find are for the versions with the lamp in the back of the set. My model has the lamp on the side.

Do you have links to instructions for my model. I don't want to start experimenting without some guidance.

Hi Todd.

It doesn't seem to be a color wheel problem. When the color wheel fails the TV turns off or presents color issues. If you have black and white then your color wheel is working, the DMD board is the most probable culprit, it could be sending all the colors to the screen, so all you have is black and white.
