I have a Samsung HLN507W in which I have replaced the color wheel, due to a screeching noise it was having. Everything seem to go okay, I made sure all wires were plugged back in but I forgot to do is put in the lamp before turning it on. The TV was on for a minute, quickly shut it off and put the lamp in. Turn tv on and picture, sound, everything seemed okay. I noticed the lights in the front, Lamp and Temp, were on and the tv turned off. Turned on the tv again and noticed lights on and the fans were not running.
Did not having the light in cause this?
Should I replace the fan or the Ballast?
I would appreciate any thoughts.....thanks

No lamp replacement or problems up to this point.

I think you could have caused some damage to the ballast if it was weak enough but since you have never changed the lamp im leaning more toward you turning on the TV reset the lamp hour timer and regardless its about time you replace the lamp...
