In the last few days we have noticed that we are now missing a few pixels on the screen. They are about half way up on the left side and towards the middle. Any suggestions?

very very common, one of my set has 2 been there since after the first yr, (of course days after the warranty ended

As long as they do not start spreading everything is fine, I learned to deal with them, we have an understanding, i dont try to eliminate them they dont reproduce. :o

I also contacted Samsung and they referred me to someone in my area who is coming out on a service call and may be replacing my dvm chip at no charge if that is the problem.

Speaking as a former tech... he will find other things wrong with your TV... do you mean a DMD?

Thanks. We would never throw a tv set awayover a few dots, especially in this economy. They said that the part will take 2-7 days to come in. Then they will schedule a time to send out a service man. I will let you know what happens.
