Hi,
Recently, my Samsung DLP TV SP50L6HX displayed dim pictures for night scenes. I suspect the lamp may need to be replaced. I called the Samsung dealer, but discovered that they no longer distribute the spare parts for the DLP TV in Singapore. I bought the DLP TV more than 4 years ago.
I did some research in the Internet and chanced upon this forum. Anyway, I now know that my TV has a Philips lamp from its name code => BP96-000826A(P). However, I'm still not very sure what bulb I should buy.
Any advice? Thanks!
Rgds,

Re: Replacement lamp for Samsung SP50L6HX
first off go to www.samsungparts.com and check your model number for the lamp. make sure it's the right lamp. Also take your lamp out and make sure it's not full of dust. you can use compressed air to blow it out. I had one that the inside of the glass was dirty. I used a damp q tip to clean it out. you should be able to find a replacement lamps online. phillips lamps last longer! If you cant find someone that will ship over seas, look up a forwarding company. I know there are companys in the usa that you can have items shipped to them and then they charge you to ship it to you. It's a big help if companys don't ship over seas.
