The HDMI plug for my DLP no longer works. I read that it may be possible to just change the plug rather than the entire electronic board it is attached to. Can someone help with the following:
It it true about just changing plug
If I have to change the entire board; what is it called and where can I get a good price on this?
Last question; Is it worth spending the money on this 6 year old tv?
Thanks

Re: HDMI PLUG FOR SAMSUNG HLR4667WX/XAA
hello,
1- yes it is possible and cheap but you have to be very good at soldering!!! Ive recycled old ones from broken sets to replace them on working ones!
2- I would try www.discount-merchant.com and search with the part number off the board...
3- Of course this technology was years ahead of its time, think about it, 6 yrs ago, how many appliances in your home had an HDMI output? and how long has it been since you have some that do?.. I had my DLP since 2004 and did not get to use HDMI until 3 yrs later upon the release of the PS3... :o
hope this helps! ;)
