yup, a shadow, down the right side. image is there but less light behind it. when i first noticed it it was a couple of inches wide...now it's nine inches, or so, wide. here's a pic (phone pic in very low light)...

Ok.... what you have here is a light tunnel issue. When you take out the light tunnel there will be a piece of "ALMOST CLEAR" plastic on the small lens which has shifted into the viewing area which is why you can still see the picture behind the shadow. All you have to do is carefully slide it back into place so that it is re-centered again as when first made. DO NOT SCRATCH THE LENS or attempt to glue it into place. Once you reposition it, it should stay there for quite some time before it shifts again...if ever. Hope this helps.

In addition to my last post referencing this "shadow", this repair may need to be done by a qualified techinican as the light tunnel is located on the engine and is not exactly easy to do yourself.

wow...thanks! was out looking at led lcd tvs today. decided on a samsung UN60C6300. may put off this purchase for a year or two if this repair can be made in-home for a decent price. thanks again.
