JVC HD-Z70RX5 Lamp Question - please help

Hello, I'm new to the forum and would really love some help form the experts here.

I bought my JVC in New Zealand and its not the US model code, I need a replacement bulb, The original was TS CL110C - 110w UHP lamp - didnt last long - about 220-2500 hours only - in the manual I it says replace with TS-CL110U model - is this the same as the TS CL110UAA model made by Philips with the 6000hr life? will it be compatible? because these Philips replacement lamps seem a lot better than the JVC OEM replacement and definitely form specs pf the TS CL110C - which only has life of 2000 hours.

I have some suspicion that the TS CL110C code represents the enclosure and the bulb and the TS CL110UAA is the bulb only - can anyone veryfy this?


If anyone can help have experience with this model it will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately JVC has closed up shop in NZ, so I am really counting on you guys for some help.

Also, has anyone traded with user: ' discounttvlamps ' - ebay seller who has the Philips bulb, to ensure it is genuine Philips as, form what I have read, it does not say on the lamp exactly what make it is? My old one has no manufacturer markings on it. Going price is $119 per lamp with Shipping to NZ $30 - if anyone knows cheaper place to buy please let me know.

I've bought one of these lamps on Trademe and it works fine. Persons name was "projectorlamps", but the price was $449. Hope that helps. Cheers

Oops I forgot to say the lamp I bought was the TS CL110UAA and have had no problems!
