Samsung HLN5065WX/XAA Bring it back to life

Postby Orlando » Sat Jul 18, 2009 8:36 am

Hello,

I have a HLN5065WX/XAA that before it died had 17,500 hours on lamp..

Little by little it started making a high pitched noise. Then a few months
later the lamp went. My Kids went out and bought me a 50" LCD so this
TV has been sitting..

I loved it's picture and want to bring it back to life.

I'm looking at needing a Lamp and Colorwheel..

However someone said if you have the extra money it would
be good to also replace the Ballest and cooling fan or fans.
They said it comes in a kit but I can't locate it and I'm not sure
on ordering the right parts to do this.

If someone could point me in the right direction on getting the
right parts and if they would do the same replacements or is the
fan and Ballest a waste of money?

Thanks

Brian

Hi Orlando.

I agree with woopsay, it seems to be just your color wheel, however you said the lamp went out as well, so all you need is lamp + color wheel.

Hope this helps.
