I have searched the internet for about a year and have not found anyone posting a similar problem to the one I am having. The problem is that when I turn on the tv, the audio comes on right away, but no picture. After leaving it on for about 5-10 minutes, suddenly a garbled image will appear frozen on the screen.
About 5 minutes after that, the image will begin to move sporadically, and the normal image will suddenly appear.
If that were the only problem, I wouldn't really care that much, but once the normal images appear on the screen, HORIZONTAL tearing begins happening. So its like watching the tv normally, but having lines move across the screen, always starting from the right side.
If anyone could help, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
P.S. I am 100% sure it is not the bulb.

Hi woopsay.
I definitely agree with you, the problem is not the bulb since you're able to see the picture 5 or 10 minutes after TV was turned on. I've never heard about a problem like yours. I think the problem is your DMD board, however there is a way to test it. Before the picture appears try to display the menu, if it doesn't display then the DMD board is the problem, else the problem could be in the digital or analog.
Does this issue happens with all the inputs?

Re: Slow DLP Warmup w/ Screen Tearing
The menu's don't show up before the images appear on the screen. I was afraid it could be the DMD board, just seems like an extremely weird problem. I will post pictures, and possibly a video of what exactly it does, maybe that could lead to a solution other than the dmd board. Because, honestly, it seems like its a problem with a moving part.

Here is a video of the problem after the screen begins to show the picture. (give it a minute to load)

Re: Slow DLP Warmup w/ Screen Tearing
Is the menu affected by the horizontal tearing?
There are three possibilities:
1. DMD board: if the menu is also affected.
2. Digital board: if the menu is not affected and the problem persists no matter what input is selected.
3. Analog board: if the menu is not affected and the problem just appears when using analog inputs, but doesn't show up when using HDMI (which passes directly to the digital board).
Hope this helps.

Yes, the menu is affected.
I suppose I can live with the problem until DMD board prices go down. :(
