Screen Image Problems with 56 Inch DLP

Postby jstaut » Thu Aug 18, 2011 1:39 am

Hi

I have a Samsung 56 in DLP TV for about five years now. Recently, I've noticed wierd things happening with the screen - the best way to describe it is almost like you were at the old time movies and the image presses up against the bulb or like someone's face is pressed up against glass, or sometimes it seems as if there's a lava lamp going on in there.

I am guessing it has to do with something behind the front panel that is sagging or bending somehow and pushing against the screen.

Anyone ever seen this before. Is it something that can be easily fixed/straightened/replaced, or am I S.O.L.??

If it can be repaired - what ts the best route to loacte a reasonable repairmain.

Thanks in advance...
