Samsung DLP HLS-7178 Sound issue: Sound funny

I have an HLS-7178 and it has a sound issue. I think the issue is only on the digital side as the sound is normal on the tuner side. There is sound out of both speakers but it sounds "staticy" with little bass. Strange issue that I used to solve by turning the system off and turning it on again after an hour or so. This time it doesn't want to self-correct.

Anyone else have this issue or thoughts on it?

The picture, inputs, etc... are all fine.

I'm still interested in your thoughts on this, but I tried the "Mute + 1 + 8 + 2 + Power" to see how many hours are on my lamp and it went into the menu. .... And it solved the sound problem!

Coincidence? Maybe........ but it's working
