tv problem ,think color wheel,might need more tho

for a few months now when i turn on my tv it makes a buzzing whirring sound but would go away after a minute,fastforward till saturday and the noise is worse and now my color messes up it flickers and goes blue and purple and green then will go back to normal then mess up again,i turned my tv off and now when i try and turn it back on it only stays on for a few min then shuts back off and lights all are blinking on the front,from what ive read its probably the color wheel and plus i replaced bulb about a yr ago,my question is do i only replace color wheel or the whole color wheel assembly,iam going to try and unplug tv for 30 min to reset to see if i can get it to make it until tomorrow when theres somewhere open to get what i need thanks for all help in advance ,much appericated
