This can take between 45 to 60 minutes. Don’t open the projector when its still hot since these machines operate under high temperatures and you can burn yourself.

2. Turn the Sanyo PLC-XU46 to access the Lamp cover on the bottom of the projector. Using a Phillips screw driver loosen the screw holding the cover  in place.  Place it to one side.

3. Inside you’ll find the SANYO POA-LMP56 (610 305 88016) lamp cage. Loosen all 3 screws holding the lamp in place. Grab the lamp handle and gently lift the lamp out of its socket. Place to one side. Be sure to dispose of the lamp properly through a local recycling program.

Take the new SANYO POA-LMP56 (service parts no 610 305 88016) lamp cage by the handle—avoid touching the lamp surface as oil from your fingers can cause black spots to appear when the projector is turned on. Gently maneuver the lamp into place. Don’t force the lamp as this may damage it.

5. Once the lamp is in, tighten all three screws on the SANYO POA-LMP56 (61030588016)6 Lamp Assembly. Make sure the screws have been tightened properly or the Sanyo PLC-XU46 projector will not turn on. Replace the Lamp Cover and tighten the screw.

6. Re-connect the power cord and turn on the Sanyo PLC-XU46. If the lamp does not turn on after the warm-up period, try re-installing the lamp. Reset the lamp hour using the Lamp Control mode found on the Setting menu.

NOTE: Your old SANYO POA-LMP56 (service parts no 610 305 88016) lamp should be properly recycled. These lamps contain mercury and can’t be placed into common garbage.

RESETTING THE SANYO PLC-XU46 LAMP CONTROL MODE

You’ll need to reset the Lamp Control Mode so the Lamp Notification system will have the same timeline as the newly installed SANYO POA-LMP56 (service parts no 610 305 88016) lamp.

  • Turn the Sanyo PLC-XU46 projector on.
  • Press the Menu option to display the On-Screen Menu.
  • Press Point left/right button(s) to move a red frame poster to Setting Menu icon.
  • Press the black arrow point button to move the red framed pointer to the Setting Menu Icon.
  • Press Point Down button to move the red frame pointer to Lamp counter reset.
  • Press the Select button.
  • Another confirmation dialog box appears, select YES.
  • The Lamp box will disappear and the Lamp Replace Dialog box appears.
  • TheSanyo PLC-XE33 projector has a Lamp control that allows you to change the brightness of the screen and extend the life of your lamp.  Normal Mode: Normal brightness. Eco Mode: Lowers the brightness and reduces the lamp power consumption thereby extending the lamp life.

NOTE: When you reset the Lamp Replace Counter the Lamp Replace indicator stops lighting.

EXTENDING THE LIFE OF THE SANYO POA-LMP56 LAMP

Make your newly installed SANYO POA-LMP56 (service parts no 610 305 88016) last longer:

  • Wait at least five minutes before turning the Sanyo PLC-XU46 projector off.
  • Don’t operate the projector continuously without letting it stand for at least one hour turned off every 24 hours.
  • Clean the air filter regularly will also prolong the life of the SANYO POA-LMP56 (service parts no 610 305 88016) by preventing the Sanyo PLC-XU46 from overheating.

  4. Taking the new Sanyo POA-LMP25 (610 287 5386) POA-LMP25 lamp cage by the handle—avoid touching the actual bulb a this can brek or damage the lamp. Without forcing the lamp, place it into the slot.
  5. Once the lamp is in, tighten both screws on the Sanyo POA-LMP25 (service parts no 610 287 5386) Lamp Assembly. Make sure the screws have been tightened properly or the Sanyo PLV-30 projector will not turn on.
  6. Replace the Lamp Cover and tighten the screw. Re-connect the power cord and turn on the Sanyo PLV-30 projector If the Sanyo POA-LMP25 (service parts no 610 287 5386) lamp does not turn on after the warm-up period, try re-installing the lamp. Reset the Lamp Counter Screen by following the instructions below.

  • Using the POINT LEFT/RIGHT button move to SETTING and press the SELECT button.

  • Press the POINT DOWN button so the red-arrow icon appears. Move the arrow to LAMP AGE.
  • Press SELECT. The message “Lamp replace monitor Reset” is displayed.
  • Select YES and the Timer will be reset

 

 

DON’T USE the Lamp Replacement Monitor Timer unless the lamp has been replaced.

 

 

Prolong the life of your new POA-LMP25 lamp

Remove Lamp Cover on Sanyo PLV-Z1 Projector1. Turn off the projector and unplug the AC cord. Allow the Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector to cool to the touch. This can between 45 to 60 minutes. Don’t open the projector when hot since these machines operate under high temperatures and you can burn yourself.

2. The lamp cover for the Sanyo PLV-Z1 is located at the bottom of the projector. Gently turning it over, locate the one screw holding the cover in place. Loosen the screw and remove the cover. Locate the screw holding the lamp cover in place found on the side over top of the ventilation holes. Loosen the screw to remove the cover.

Replace POA-LMP54 in Sanyo PLV-Z1 Projector3. Inside there are two screws holding the Sanyo POA-LMP54 (610 302 5933) lamp in place. Remove all three screws.  Grab the handle on the lamp cage and gently remove the lamp. Place to one side. Your old lamp should be properly recycled. These lamps contain mercury and can’t be placed into common garbage.

4. Take the new Sanyo POA-LMP54 (6103025933) lamp cage by the handle and gently manuever it into place. Avoid touching the glass or the bulb since the oil from your fingers may cause black spots on the bulb when the projector heats up. The lamp should slide in easily – don’t force it.

5. Tighten the two screws on the Lamp Assembly for the Sanyo POA-LMP54 (610 302 5933).

6. Replace and tighten the three screws on either side of Lamp Hazard Cover. Let the projector stand for five minutes so the lamp can stabilize. Re-connect the power cord and turn on the Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector. You’ll need to reset the Lamp Counter.

Sanyo PLC-XF35/F35NL/PLC-XF35N Lamp Cover1. At the back of the Sanyo PLC-XF35/F35NL/PLC-XF35N projector you’ll find the Lamp Cover. Using a Philips screwdriver loosen the three screws that hold the cover in place. Put the cover to one side.
2. Remove the two screws on either side of each of  the Sanyo POA-LMP52 lamp. Grab the handle on the lamp cage and gently pull out each lamp. Place those lamps to one side.

3. Take the new POA-LMP52 lamp cage by the handle and gently manuever it into place.

5. Tighten the screws on the Lamp Assembly.

  • Press the Menu option so the On-Screen Menu will appear.

  • Press Point Down button to move the red frame pointer to Lamp counter reset.
  • Press the Select button.
  • Move arrow to replace lamp number (Lamp 1 or Lamp 2) and then press Select button. The message “Lamp replace counter Reset?” will be displayed.
  • Move the pointer to YES and then press Select button.
  • Be sure to reset the correct lamp number otherwise Lamp Replace indicator continues lighting.

  • Select YES to reset Lamp Replace Counter.
  • Do not reset Lamp Replace Counter except after the Projection Lamp has been replaced.

  • Choose one of the two Lamp Modes by pressing POINT LEFT/RIGHT buttons. When you switch the Lamp Mode from using 2 lamps mode to using 1 lamp mode the image becomes a little darker. When you switch from using 1 lamp mode to using 2 lamps mode, the image becomes a little brighter gradually.

NOTE: Your old lamp should be properly recycled. These lamps contain mercury and can’t be placed into common garbage.

Prolong the life of your new POA-LMP52 lamp

To maintain the life of your newly installed Sanyo POA-LMP52, wait at least five minutes before turning the Sanyo PLC-XF35/F35NL/PLC-XF35N projector off. Replacing the Philips Mitsubishi 915B403001 Lamp

CAUTIONBurn Danger! Allow the T.V. to cool for one hour before replacing the lamp. Avoid touching the lamp or lamp cartridge. Use the lamp handles only to remove the lamp.

HELPFUL TIP: Use a pair of rubber gloves during installation. The Philips Mitsubishi 915B403001 Lamp lamps does contain mercury, which may end up on your skin. Don’t touch the lamp glass with bare hands as the oil form your fingers may cause premature lamp failure.

PART ONE: Removing the Old Philips Mitsubishi 915B403001 Lamp Cartridge

  • Turn off the TV and allow it to cool for one hour.
  • After TV has cooled, remove the cover of the lamp compartment, located at the back of the TV. Using a #2 Philips screwdriver, loosen the screw holding the cover in place. Put the cover to one side.
  • Loosen the two screws on either side of the lamp cartridge (they are the shiniest screws). These screws can only be loosened and not removed completely from the lamp cartridge.
  • Take out the bag supplied with your new lamp and open it up. You’ll store the old lamp in this bag.
  • Gently grasp the handle on the lamp cartridge and pull the lamp straight out. DO NOT TILT, as there may be glass fragments that will fall inside the TV. If this happens, carefully pick up the larger shards wearing rubber gloves. Take a cloth just damp enough to pick up the small shreds.   • Put the old lamp gently into the opened bag. Close the bag.
