Gently turn it upside down protecting the top of the projector. Using a Philips screwdriver loosen the screw holding the cover in place. Put the cover to one side.

2. Remove the two screws on either side of each the Sanyo POA-LMP107 (service parts no 610 330 4564) lamp. Grab the handle on the lamp cage and gently pull out the lamp. Place to one side. Be sure to dispose of the lamp properly through a local recycling program.

3. Take the new Sanyo POA-LMP107 (610-330-4564) lamp cage by the handle and gently maneuver it into place.

4. Avoid touching the glass or the bulb. The lamp should slide in easily – don’t force it. Once the lamp is in, tighten the screws on the Lamp Assembly.

5. Replace the Lamp Hazard Cover and tighten screws.

6. Re-connect the power cord and turn on the Sanyo PLC-XW50/PLC-XW55 projector.

Sanyo PLC-XU87/PLC-XU84 lamp cover, Sanyo POA-LMP106 service parts no 610 332 38551. Underneath the Sanyo PLC-XU84/PLC-XU87 projector you’ll find the Lamp Hazard cover. Gently turn it upside down protecting the top of the project.Using a Philips screwdriver loosen the screw holding the cover in place. Put the cover to one side.

2. Remove the two screws on either side of each the Sanyo POA-LMP106 (service part no 610 332 3855) lamp. Grab the handle on the lamp cage and gently the lamp. Place to one side.

4. Avoid touching the glass or the bulb. The lamp should slide in easily – don’t force it. Once the lamp is in, tighten the screws on the Lamp Assembly.

5. Replace the Lamp Hazard Cover and tighten screws.

6. Re-connect the power cord and turn on the Sanyo PLC-XU84/PLC-XU87 projector.

Resetting the Lamp Replacement counter on the Sanyo PLC-XU84/PLC-XU87 Projector

Reset the Lamp Replacement Counter only when the Sanyo POA-LMP106 (service part no 610 332 3855) lamp has been replaced.

Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

POA-LMP106 Lamp Counter Option for Sanyo PLC-XU84/XU87 Projector

  • Turn the Sanyo PLC-XU84/PLC-XU87 projector on.
  • Press the Menu option to display the On-Screen Menu.
  • Press Point left/right button(s) to move a red frame poster to Setting Menu icon.
  • Press the black arrow point button to move the red framed pointer to the Setting Menu Icon.
  • Press Point Down button to move the red frame pointer to Lamp counter reset.
  • Press the Select button.
  • Another confirmation dialog box appears, select YES.

Sanyo Lamp Mode Changeover

When a lamp is no longer working, the Lamp Management Function (Lamp Mode) automatically changes the combination of lighting from either two lamps to one lamp being used.

The Sanyo PLC-EF30/PLC-EF31/PLC-XF30/PLC-XF31 projectors series gives you the option of extending your lamp life by manually changing the Lamp Mode to use only one lamp. To do this:

  1. Press Menu button to get to the On-Screen Menu.
  2. Press Point left/right buttons to select Setting and press Select button. Setting dialog box appears.
  3. Press Point Down button to move a red frame pointer to Lamp Mode.
  4. Set the 2 Lamp Mode to 1 Lamp Mode lamp mode by pressing Point left/right buttons.
  5. When you switch the Lamp Mode from using 2 lamps to using 1 lamp the image becomes a little darker.
  6. When you switch the Lamp Modefrom using 1 lamp to using 2 lamps, the image becomes a little brighter gradually.

You must wait for 90 seconds after changing Lamp Mode before you can access this option again.
