  • Slide the air filter out and remove it immediately. Slide in the new filter that came with the Epson ELPLP32 lamp. Replace the lamp cover.
  • You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Your Epson PowerLite 732 has a built-in timer to track the life of the Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp. So, it’s very important that you reset the lamp timer every time you replace the Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp.

  • Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. The Optoma EX540 runs at a high temperature and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.
  • Disconnect the power cord.

Step-by-step instructions

1: Use a screwdriver to loosen the two screws holding the projector lamp cover in place. The Optoma EX540 projector should be cool to the touch.

2: Remove the lamp cover and place to one side. Don’t lose the screws to the cover as the projector will not turn back on until the projector lamp cover has been properly installed.

3: Remove both screws holding the BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) in place.Lift the wire handle on the lamp and gently remove it from the projector. Be careful not to hit the lamp or you can cause it to break.

Install the new lamp:

a. Take the new Optoma BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) projector lamp out of its packaging and lift the handle on the lamp.

b. Gently place it into the projector making sure not to touch the actual bulb. Oil from fingerprint marks can burn black spots onto the lamp when it heats up.

c. Tighten the screws on the projector lamp.

d. Close the lid. Tighten the cover screws. You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Step 4: Reset the Optoma EX540 projector lamp timer

Your Optoma EX540 comes equipped with an automatic projector lamp timer that tracks the number of hours left for the BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) lamp. Each time you change the lamp you need to reset the lamp timer. Failure to do so may cause the projector to use the lamp over the recommended period of time resulting in the lamp exploding.

  • Press MENU
  • Select OPTIONS
  • Select Lamp Settings

Under Brightness Mode:

  • Choose STD to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption making the lamp last longer.

Before replacing the Dell 311-8943 projector lamp be sure to turn the projector off and disconnect from the AC plug. Let the projector cool down for at least 30 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. Don’t attempt to change the lamp when the projector is still hot as there is a good chance you can get severely burned.

  • Place the Dell 1510X on a soft surface and turn in upside down to access the projector lamp cover. Loose the two screws that hold the projector lamp cover in place.
  • Loosen the two screws that secure the projector lamp.
  • Pull the projector lamp up by its metal handle. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. NOTE: Don’t throw the Dell 311-8943 projector lamp into regular garbage! Since it contains mercury, this lamp must be properly recycled.
  • Install the new Dell 311-8943 projector lamp making sure it is properly aligned into the projector.
  • Tighten the two screws that secure the Dell 311-8943 projector lamp.
  • Replace the projector lamp cover and tighten the two screws.
  • You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Reset the Dell 1510X projector lamp counter

The Dell 1510X projector tracks the life of the Dell 311-8943 (725-10120) projector lamp and will trigger the warning signals when it’s time to replace. Each time you replace the Dell 311-8943 projector lamp you must reset the lamp timer to zero. Replacing the projector lamp

  • Wait until the projector is cool to the touch before removing the lamp. These projector work at a high temperatures and you can get badly burned.

  4. Insert the new 3M 78-6969-8778-9 projector lamp. Tighten the two screws on the new projector lamp. Take care not to touch the bare lamp as oil from your finger can burn black spots onto the lamp. These black spots will also appear on screen. Reset the lamp timer.

After changing the 3M 78-6969-8778-9 projector lamp you need to reset the lamp timer so the 3M MP8725 projector will turn back on. To reset:

  • Press the Reset button on the projector or Menu On button on the remote
  • When the total lamp hours are displayed, use the arrow button on the projector or the disc pad to select 0 (or CANCEL).

  • Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.

Replacing the Acer X1130K projector lamp

The Acer X1130K projector uses the Acer EC.J9000.001 projector lamp. Before installation follow these important safety steps:

  • Turn off the Acer X1130K projector and unplug the AC cord.
  • These projectors operate under high temperatures and there is a risk of burning if the projector has not cooled enough. Allow the Acer X1130K to cool for one hour. It should be cool to the touch.

1. Remove the two screws from the cover. Lift the cover off the projector and place it to one side.

2. Remove the two screws holding the Acer X1130K projector lamp in place.

3. Lift the wire handle on the Acer EC.J9000.001 bulb and gently pull the lamp up to remove it.

Don’t throw the old Acer EC.J9000.001 projector lamp into regular garbage as it contains mercury — send it to a local recycling program.

4. Take the new Acer EC.J9000.001 projector lamp projector lamp using the wire handle. Avoid touching the bare bulb; the oil on your finger can leave a black mark on the lamp affecting the projected image. Tighten the screws on the new Acer EC.J9000.001 projector lamp.

Put the lid back onto the projector. Tighten the screw holding the lid in place. Plug the AC cables back into the projector. Turn the project on so you can reset the lamp timer.

NOTE: New air filters are shipped with the lamp and it’s recommended you replace them at the same time.

Follow these important safety instructions before installing the new NEC NP16LP projector lamp.

  • turn off the NEC NP-M300XG projector.
  • unplug the projector from its power source.
  • unplug the power cable.
  • wait until the projector is cool to the touch to avoid getting burned.

Replacing the filters

There are four filters in the NEC NP-M300XG projector:

  • Honeycomb hard filter – large and small
  • Accordion soft filter — large and small

Replace all four filters at the same time. Before replacing the filters wipe off any dust and dirt that came loose from the old filters. NOTE: The filters are made with two different types of material in the membrane. Both perform the same.

The filter cover is fixed at six separate points in the projector. Bow the filter cover by pushing it slightly until it releases.

  • Filter unit: Attach two honeycomb hard filters to the NEC NP-M300XG filter unit.
  • Filter cover: Attach the two accordion soft filters to the filter cover. Be sure to align the accordion slits with the protrusions of the filter cover.

Insert the two catches of the top of the filter into the groove of the cabinet. Push the filter until it clicks into place.

 

Reset the lamp time

Once the NEC NP16LP projector lamp and NEC NP-M300XG projector filter have both been replaced you will need to reset the timer for both. You want the projector to be able to accurately track the projector lamp life.

Clear usage hours and reset hours

  • Plug in the power cored into the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the projector.
  • From the MENU select RESET.
  • Choose CLEAR LAMP HOURS.
  • A confirmation message appears.
  • Select YES.

Reset the filter hours:

  • Scroll up to CLEAR Filter HOURS.
  • A second submenu will appear.
  • Select YES. Press the ENTER button.

Extending the life of the NEC NP-M300XG projector lamp

Get your newly installed NEC NP16LP projector lamp will last longer by choosing the ECO option. The ECO MODE increases projector lamp life by lowering the power consumption. There are three modes to choose from:

  • Auto Mode: 4000 hours
  • Normal: 5000 hours
  • Eco ModeL 8000 hours

Watching for end of life

It is time to replace the Epson EB-824H projector lamp when the following signs are seen:

  • The projected image gets darker or starts to deteriorate.
  • The message Replace the lamp appears on the screen

Installing the Projector Lamp Replacement

Before installation:

  • Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing.

How to replace the Optoma BL-FP180D

Follow these important safety steps before installing a new Optoma BL-FU180A replacement projector lamp in your Optoma ES522 projector:

  • Disconnect the power cord.
  • Switch off the power to the Optoma ES522 projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
  • Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

1. The lamp cover is located underneath the Optoma ES522 so place it on soft before turning it over. Remove the two captive screws from the cover.

2. Lift the cover up off the Optoma ES522 and place it to one side. You’ll need to re-install the cover after the new projector lamp has been installed or the projector will not turn on.

3. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the Optoma BL-FU180A projector lamp module in place.

4. Lift up the wire handle and slowly put out the old Optoma BL-FU180A projector lamp. Be careful not to bang the projector lamp against the projector as this may case the bulb to break. Be sure to recycle this lamp as it contains mercury. Don’t place it into regular garbage.

5. Take the new Optoma BL-FU180A  projector lamp out of its package. Gently place it into the Optoma ES522 projector. Tighten the two screws on the projector lamp.

6. Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws. You must now reset the Lamp Replacement Timer.
