  • Insert the replacement Canon LV-LP21 projector lamp. Be careful not to touch the actual bulb as oil from your fingers can leave black marks on the lamp.
  • Tighten the two screws on the lamp.
  • Put back the lamp cover and tighten its two screws.
  • Connect the AC power cord to the Canon LV-LP21 and turn on the projector to reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the lamp timer counter

After replacing the Canon LV-X4E projector lamp, you’ll need to turn off the LAMP REPLACE indicator by resetting the LAMP REPLACE COUNTER. The counter tracks the number of hours the lamp the Canon LV-X4 projector has been used and triggers the warning light when the lamp is reaching its end of life.  Resetting the lamp timer

Do not reset the BenQ MP720P projector lamp timer if the lamp has not been replaced as this could cause damage. Don’t start the if the lamp cover has not been replaced.

  • Press and hold the Exit 5 button on the projector for 5 seconds to display the total used lamp time.
  • Press Auto on the projector or on the remote control to reset the lamp hour to “0”.

  • Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.

Installing the replacement projector lamp

The Epson PowerLite 825+ uses the Epson ELPLP50 V13H010L50 projector lamp.

Before installation:

  • Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing.
  • Turn off power switch on Epson PowerLite 825+ projector.
  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Before changing the projector lamp, allow the Epson PowerLite 825+ projector to cool down. It should be cool to the touch before you open it to change the projector lamp. Otherwise you run the risk of burning yourself.
  • Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the actual bulb with your fingers since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

Slide the  projector lamp cover off.

Gently insert the Epson ELPLP50 projector lamp making sure it’s facing the right way. Push down on the side marked PUSH until it snaps into place. Tighten the screws on the new Epson ELPLP50 projector lamp. Be sure not to tighten too much or the lamp may not work.

Replace the lamp cover and tighten the screw on the Epson PowerLite 825+ projector lamp cover. You are now ready to reset the  projector lamp timer.

  • Press the MENU button on the remote control. The Lamp Reset Menu will appear.

  • A prompt appears asking if you want to RESET LAMP HOURS?
  • Select YES and press ENTER.
  • Press MENU to exit.

Extend the life of the newly installed Epson ELPLP50 projector lamp with the following tips:

  • Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
  • Turn off the Epson PowerLite 825+ projector and let it stand for at least one hour ever 24 hours. An average use of four to five hours per day will ensure longer lamp life.

  • Tighten the screws on the lamp.
  • Close the lid. Tighten the cover screws.

  • Press the Menu button to open the On-Screen-Data (OSD) menu.

Step 3: Installing the projector lamp

The ASK Proxima C460 projector needs the Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016. Follow these steps to install the new projector lamp.

  • Tighten the three screws that hold the SP-LAMP-016 lamp in place.
  • Replace the lamp lid and tighten the screw holding the lamp lid in place.
  • You’re now ready to reset the lamp timer.

In order for the ASK Proxima C460 to correctly track the lamp life of your newly installed Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016 projector lamp, you’ll need to reset the timer.

It is time to replace the Epson EB-825 projector lamp when the following signs are seen:

  • The projected image gets darker or starts to deteriorate.
  • The message Replace the lamp appears on the screen
  • The projector lamp warning starts flashing.

Installing the newProjector Lamp

The Epson EB-825 uses the Epson ELPLP50rojector lamp.

Before installation:

  • Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing.
  • Turn off power switch on Epson EB-825 projector.
  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Before changing the projector lamp, allow the Epson EB-825 projector to cool down. It should be cool to the touch before you open it to change the projector lamp. Otherwise you run the risk of burning yourself.
  • Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the actual bulb with your fingers since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

Tighten the screws on the new Epson ELPLP50 projector lamp. Be sure not to tighten too much or the lamp may not work.

Finding lamp hours

  • Go to INFO menu
  • Scroll down to USAGE TIME to display the LAMP LIFE REMAINING and LAMP HOURS USED.
  • The progress indicator shows the percentage of remaining bulb life:
  • When the lamp usage reaches 0, the Lamp Life REMAINING starts a count down from 100 hours
  • When the count down reaches 0, the projector will turn off and not turn on.

 

Changing the NEC NP16LP projector lamp

NOTE: New air filters are shipped with the lamp and it’s recommended you replace them at the same time.

Follow these important safety instructions before installing the new NEC NP16LP projector lamp

  • turn off the NEC NP-M350X projector.
  • unplug the projector from its power source.
  • unplug the power cable.
  • wait until the projector is cool to the touch to avoid getting burned.

Replacing the filters

There are four filters in the NEC NP-M350X projector:

  • Honeycomb hard filter – large and small
  • Accordion soft filter — large and small

Replace all four filters at the same time. Before replacing the filters wipe off any dust and dirt that came loose from the old filters. NOTE: The filters are made with two different types of material in the membrane. Both perform the same.

The filter cover is fixed at six separate points in the projector. Bow the filter cover by pushing it slightly until it releases.

  • Filter unit: Attach two honeycomb hard filters to the NEC NP-M350X filter unit.
  • Filter cover: Attach the two accordion soft filters to the filter cover. Be sure to align the accordion slits with the protrusions of the filter cover.

Insert the two catches of the top of the filter into the groove of the cabinet. Push the filter until it clicks into place.

 

Reset the lamp timer

Once the NEC NP16LP projector lamp and NEC NP-M350X projector filter have both been replaced you will need to reset the timer for both. You want the projector to be able to accurately track the projector lamp life.

Clear usage hours and reset hours

  • Plug in the power cored into the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the projector.
  • From the MENU select RESET.
  • Choose CLEAR LAMP HOURS.
  • A confirmation message appears.
  • Select YES.

Reset the filter hours:

  • Scroll up to CLEAR Filter HOURS.
  • A second submenu will appear.
  • Select YES. Press the ENTER button.

Extending the life of the NEC NP-M350X projector lamp

Get your newly installed NEC NP16LP projector lamp will last longer by choosing the ECO option. The ECO MODE increases projector lamp life by lowering the power consumption. There are three modes to choose from:

  • Auto Mode: 4000 hours
  • Normal: 5000 hours
  • Eco ModeL 8000 hours

Replacing the Optoma BL-FP230C: Step-by-step instructions

Follow these important safety steps before installing a new Optoma BL-FP230C  projector lamp:

  • The used Optoma BL-FP230C contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.
  • Switch off the power to the Optoma DX733 projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
  • Disconnect the power cord.
  • Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

1. Place something soft underneath the Optoma DX733 projector and then turn the projector onto it’s back. Remove the two screws holding the cover in place.

The Optoma DX733 projector has an automatic lamp reset timer that tracks the life of the lamp and triggers the lamp replacement warning. You need to reset the timer each time the projector lamp is replaced.

Press the Menu option on either the remote or on the projector.

  • Scroll over to the Lamp Setting Menu. Press enter.
  • Select Reset Lamp Hours. Press Enter
  • The Execute/Cancel command line will appear.
  • Scroll over to choose Execute. Press Enter.
  • The lamp hours will be reset to zero.
