Resetting the XP5t-930 lamp counter

Once the Boxlight XP5T-930 projector lamp has been replaced, you will need to reset the lamp counter so the Boxlight XP5t-930 projector can accurately track the number of lamp hours remaining:

  • Turn the projector on, and press the MENU button and the ON-SCREEN MENU will appear. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select SETTING and press the SELECT button.
  • Another dialog box SETTING MENU will appear.
  • Press the POINT DOWN button and a red-arrow icon will appear.
  • Move the arrow to Lamp age, and then press the SELECT button. The message “Lamp replace monitor Reset?” is displayed.
  • Select [Yes] to reset the Timer.

Installing the Epson ELPLP60 lamp

Before installation:

  • Turn off the Epson PowerLite 92 projector and unplug the AC cord.
  • Allow the projector to cool for one hour – it should be cool to the touch. Inside of the projector can be very hot since these machines operator under high temperatures and you run the risk of being burned if the projector has not cooled down.
  • Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

7. Re-attach the power cord. Turn the projector on and let it warm up.

Installing the projector lamp

The ASK Proxima C450 projector needs the Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016. Follow these steps to install the new projector lamp.

  • Disconnect the power cord and allow the projector to cool for one hour before replacing the lamp. The ASK Proxima C450 operates under high heat and can cause burns.
  • The lamp lid for the ASK Proxima C450 is found on the bottom of the projector.
  • To remove the cover: Gently place a flathead screwdriver into the slot on the top of the projector by the right speaker and slide the small lever toward the right speaker. The cover will pop out.
  • Unscrew the three screws holding the Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016 in place.
  • Gently grab the wire handle and pull out the Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016.
  • The LAMP-016. projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps! 
  • Don’t throw this lamp into regular garbage as it contains mercury.

  • Inset the new Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016 projector lamp all the way into the ASK Proxima C450 projector.
  • Tighten the three screws that hold the SP-LAMP-016 lamp in place.
  • Replace the lamp lid and tighten the screw holding the lamp lid in place.
  • You’re now ready to reset the lamp timer.

In order for the ASK Proxima C450 to correctly track the lamp life of your newly installed Ask Proxima SP-LAMP-016 projector lamp, you’ll need to reset the timer.

4 steps to a new projector lamp

Follow these important safety tips before replacing the Optoma BL-FU185A  projector lamp:

  • Switch off the power to the Optoma PRO360W multimedia projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
  • Disconnect the power cord.

Finding lamp hours

  • When the lamp usage reaches 0, the Lamp Life REMAINING starts a count down from 100 hours
  • When the count down reaches 0, the projector will turn off and not turn on.

Replacing the filters

There are four filters in the NEC NP-M350X projector:

  • Honeycomb hard filter – large and small
  • Accordion soft filter — large and small

Replace all four filters at the same time. Before replacing the filters wipe off any dust and dirt that came loose from the old filters. NOTE: The filters are made with two different types of material in the membrane. Both perform the same.

The filter cover is fixed at six separate points in the projector. Bow the filter cover by pushing it slightly until it releases.

  • Filter cover: Attach the two accordion soft filters to the filter cover. Be sure to align the accordion slits with the protrusions of the filter cover.

Reset the lamp timer

Once the NEC NP16LP projector lamp and NEC NP-M350X projector filter have both been replaced you will need to reset the timer for both. You want the projector to be able to accurately track the projector lamp life.

  • Plug in the power cored into the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the projector.
  • From the MENU select RESET.
  • Choose CLEAR LAMP HOURS.
  • A confirmation message appears.

  • Scroll up to CLEAR Filter HOURS.
  • A second submenu will appear.
  • Select YES. Press the ENTER button.

Extending the life of the NEC NP-M350X projector lamp

Get your newly installed NEC NP16LP projector lamp will last longer by choosing the ECO option. The ECO MODE increases projector lamp life by lowering the power consumption. There are three modes to choose from:

  • Auto Mode: 4000 hours
  • Normal: 5000 hours

Put the lid back onto the projector. Tighten the screw holding the lid in place. Plug the AC cables back into the projector. Turn the project on so you can reset the lamp timer.

How to replace Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp

Follow these important safety tips before replacing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp:

  • Switch off the power to the Optoma PRO260X projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
  • Disconnect the power cord.
  • Allow the Optoma PRO260X projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

  • Use a screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the projector lamp cover in place. The screws on the lamp cover and the lamp cannot be removed.
  • Remove the lid and place to one side. Don’t lose the lid as the Optoma PRO260X projector will not turn back on until the lamp cover has been properly installed.
  • Remove the two screws holding the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp in place.
  • Note: The used Optoma BL-FU185A  projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.
  • Lift up the wire handle on the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp and slowly remove it from the projector. Be careful not to bang the lamp against the projector as this may case the bulb to break. Learn how to clean up a broken lamp.

Steps to install the new projector lamp:

  • Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp from its packaging. Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma PRO260X projector.
  • Tighten the two screws on the projector lamp.
  • Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws.

Installing the Projector Lamp Replacement

The Epson EB- 85 uses the Epson ELPLP50  projector lamp.

Before installation:

  • Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing.

Your projector automatically tracks the number of hours the BenQ MP620 projector lamp is being used via the built-in timer. You can extend the number of hours by 20% by using the Economic Mode. Access this mode on the Information Menu.

Step 1: Know when to replace

  • Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes. The projector should be cool to the touch.
