  • Disconnect the power cord.

1. Use a screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the lamp cover in place. The screws on the lamp cover and the lamp cannot be removed.

2. Remove the lid and place to one side. Don’t lose the lid as the Optoma ES526 projector will not turn back on until the lamp cover has been properly installed.

3. Remove the two screws holding the Optoma BL-FU185A in place.

Note: The used Optoma BL-FU185A  projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.

5. Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A  projector lamps from its packaging. Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma ES526 projector.

6. Tighten the two screws on the lamp.

7. Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws. You are now ready to reset the Lamp Replacement Timer.

Reset the Lamp Replacement Timer

The Optoma ES526 projector has an automatic lamp timer that tracks the numbers of hours left in the lamp. If you don’t reset the lamp replacement timer you run the risk of the lamp being used beyond its recommended life and possibly exploding in the projector.

  • Turn on the projector.
  • Using the remote press MENU
  • Select OPTIONS
  • Select LAMP SETTINGS

  • Chose the “STD” mode to to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption. This will extend the lamp life by up to 130%.
  • Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
  • Every 24 hours, turn off the projector and let it stand for 1 hour
  • Make sure there is enough airflow around the Optoma ES526 projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

  • Unplug the power cord.

  • NOTE: If the projector is mounted on the ceiling, don’t stand underneath the projector while opening the cover.

Installing the Hitachi DT00841 (CPX401 projector lamp

  • Turn the projector off, and unplug the power cord.
  • Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.
  • Prepare the new Hitachi DT00841 (CPX401) projector lamp. If the projector is mounted on a ceiling, or if the lamp has broken, contact your dealer for assistance.
  • Loosen the screw (marked by arrow) of the lamp cover and then slide the lamp cover to the side to remove it.

 

  • Loosen the 2 screws (marked by arrow) of the projector lamp, and slowly pick up the lamp by the handles. Be careful not the bang the lamp. The Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp contains mercury and must be recycled properly. Do not throw it in regular garbage.
  •  Insert the new lamp, taking care not to touch the actual bulb. Oil in your fingers will cause a dark spot on the lamp when it heats up.
  • Tighten the two screws of the Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp that were loosened to remove the old projector lamp.
  • Slide the lamp cover back in place and firmly fasten the screw of the lamp cover.
  • Turn on the projector and set the lamp timer:

  • Scroll down to the OPTION menu in the left column and press ENTER.

  • Scroll up to the RESET option on the dialogue box.
  • The lamp setting will be set to zero.

  • Pull the filter frame’s knob up while holding the filter cover. The filter frame will come off and the air filter will appear.

  • Put the filter unit back into the projector
  • Turn the projector on and reset the filter time using the FILTER TIME item in the EASY MENU.

Step 1: When to replace the projector lamp

Projector lamp life with the Panasonic PT-D5600U projector lamp may vary depending on the working conditions and settings. At 1300 hours with the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp power set to high, the “Replace Lamp” warning will be displayed on screen for 30 seconds. If your Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp unit is not replaced after the warning message will be permanently displayed on screen and the power supply will be shut off so the projector can enter a standby state. It will remain in standby state until the projector lamp is changed.

Choosing projector lamp options

When only one Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp is used (SINGLE, LAMP1 or LAMP2 options) and it’s been used for 1500 hours consecutively, the Panasonic PT-DW5000U projectors automatically switches to the second lamp. When both Panasonic ET-LAD55 lamps are used simultaneously for 1300 hours straight, the projector will automatically go into standby mode. Create longer projector lamp life by controlling the luminance of the projector lamp:

  • HIGH: Use when you need high brightness is necessary. Both lamps are used with this setting.
  • LOW: Set when high brightness is not necessary. This reduces power and operating noise while using only one lamp.

Ste 2: Be ready with an authentic projector lamp

It can be confusing trying to find the correct projector lamp since there are so many choices. It’s easy to get duped into buying an inferior knock-off lamp posing as an authentic lamp. Buyer beware! 5. Remove the screws holding the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp in place. (Each lamps has two screws. Take hold of the wire handle and gently remove the projector lamp. (See diagram #5)

NOTE: The Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle this projector lamp!

6. Install the new lamp unit taking care not the touch the actual project lamp bulb as oil from your fingers will remain on the bulb and burn black spots when the projector lamp heats up.

7. Use a Phillips screwdriver to securely tighten each of the two screws on both projector lamps.

9. Slide the cover a little toward the right, and secure it by tightening the screw. (See diagram #9)

NOTE: Firmly install the projector lamp unit and projector lamp cover. If not installed properly, the protection circuit will be activated and the projector will not turn back on.

To reset the projector lamp timer

Each time you switch to a new Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp you need to reset the Panasonic PT-DW5600U projector lamp timer.

  • Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet and then press the MAIN POWER switch.
  • Press the “ I ” button on the remote control to display an image picture onto the screen.

  • Scroll down to SYSTEM INFORMATION. Press ENTER to display the SYSTEM INFORMATION menu.

Scroll down to select the projector that has was replaced. Select the lamp which has been changed

  • LAMP1: Replace the LAMP UNIT 1
  • LAMP2: Replace the LAMP UNIT 2
  • Press ENTER.
  • When the LAMP TIME RESET display flashes, press ENTER again.
  • The used hours of the specified lamp unit will be reset to zero.
  • Press the MENU button to leave the LAMP TIME RESET menu.

Quick reset:

  • When lamp unit 1 has been replaced: In standby mode, press the number buttons in the sequence of 737381, and then press ENTER.
  • When lamp unit 2 has been replaced: In standby mode, press the number buttons in the sequence of 737382, and then press ENTER.
  • When the projector lamps hours have been reset, the lamp monitor (LAMP1/LAMP2) will flash for 3 seconds.

Resettting the projector lamp counter

Put the lid back onto the projector. Tighten the screw holding the lid in place. Plug the AC cables back into the projector. Turn the project on so you can reset the lamp timer.

It’s important to always reset the lamp timer after replacing the projector lamp in your XD1270D projector. You want the projector to track how many hours the lamp has been used and send out warning messages when the Acer EC.J2101.001 reaches end of life.

Step 2:

A flashing orange light on BenQ MX762ST projector indicates that the t BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 is reaching end of life the lamp indicator and needs to be replaced. Several warning messsages will begin to appear and you may notice the image deteriorating or the color looking off. When the final warning screen appears you must change the projector lamp immediately.

  • Press MENU/EXIT and then press MODE/ENTER to highlight the SYSTEM SETUP: Advanced
  • Press to highlight Lamp Settings and press MODE/ENTER. The Lamp Settings page is displayed.
  • You will see the Equivalent Lamp Hour information appearing on the menu.
  • To leave the menu, press MENU/EXIT.
  • You can also get the lamp hour information on the INFORMATION menu.

Setting the projector to economic mode will extend the projector lamp life.

Step 3: Replace the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp

Before changing the lamp:

  • Reduce the risk of electrical shock by disconnecting the power cord on the BenQ MX762ST projector.
  • Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.

Loosen the screw holding the lamp cover onto the BenQ MX762ST projector.

Lift up the cover. Remove and dispose of the lamp protection film. Do not insert your fingers between the lamp and the projector. The sharp edges inside the projector may cause injuries.

Disconnect the projector lamp connector from the projector (Step #2 in diagram). Loosen the screw that secures the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp.

NOTE: The BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps! If you bought from an authentic manufacturer they will recycle the lamp for you at no extra cost (another reason to buy authentic lamps).

Make sure the handle is fully locked. Tighten the projector lamp screw. If the screw is too loose or too tight, the projector may not turn on.

Reset the total lamp operation timer.

 

 

Reset the projector lamp counter

  • Turn on the BenQ MX761 projector.
  • After the startup logo, open the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
  • Go to the SYSTEM SETUP.
  • Scroll over to Advanced > Lamp Settings menu.
  • Press MODE/ENTER to display Lamp Settings page is displayed.
  • Highlight Reset lamp timer. A warning message is displayed asking if you want to reset the lamp timer.
  • Highlight Reset and press MODE/ENTER. The lamp time will be reset to “0”.

Replacing the Sony LMP-H202 Lamp and Air Filter

Sony recommends replacing the air filter at the same as replacing the lamp.

Replacing the Lamp

Unplug the AC power cord on the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector.

The projector lamp cover is on the bottom of the projector so you will need to turn it over. Put down a soft cloth on a flat surface to prevent the projector getting scratched. Turn the projector over gently. Don’t lean on the projector and make sure the surface is flat and stable.

Loosen the 3 screws on the Sony LMP-H202 projector lamp using a Phillips screwdriver. Grab the old LMP-H202 projector lamp by the indented side handles and and pull the lamp straight out. Take care not to bang the lamp as you can cause the bulb to break.

NOTE: The Sony LMP-H202 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle this lamp!

To finish the projector lamp installation:

  • Remove the packaging from the new projector lamp.
  • Lift up the handle and slowly lower the projector lamp into the projector.
  • Push it in securely until it reaches the end.
  • Tighten the three screws on the lamp.
  • Be careful not to touch the optical block inside the projector as this can damage the picture.

  • Slide the lamp cover back onto the Sony HW40ES projector.
  • Close the projector lamp cover and tighten the screws.
    Remember to install the lamp cover properly as the projector will not turn on if the cover is loose or not installed correctly.

Replacing the air filter

Sony_VPL-HW40ES_projector_LMP-H202_remove_filter_holderRemove the filter holder. The air filter will be inside the holder. Don’t touch the fan inside as this can damage the projector.

Aligning the air filter with the shape of the filter holder will make it easier to install.

Be sure to put the air filter holder back into the projector making sure it aligned up properly. If not, the projector will not turn back on!

Wipe off any dust from the ventilation intake holes using a soft cloth. Put the projector back in its original position and turn it on. You’ll need to reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the projector lamp timer

  • Turn the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector back on.
  • Using the remote, scroll down to the Setup Menu.
  • Press Enter.

A Lamp Setting message will appear asking you if the projector lamp has been replaced.

Click on Yes.

Steps to install the new projector lamp:

1. Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A (SP.8EH01GC01) projector lamp from its packaging. Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma DX319 projector.

2. Tighten the two screws on the projector lamp.

3. Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws.

  • Turn on the projector.
  • Using the remote press MENU
  • Select OPTIONS

  • Chose the “STD” mode to to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption. This will extend the lamp life by up to 130%.

      • Another dialog box SETTING MENU will appear.
      • Press the POINT DOWN button and a red-arrow icon will appear.
      • Move the arrow to Lamp age, and then press the SELECT button. The message “Lamp replace monitor Reset?” is displayed.
      • Select [Yes] to reset the Timer.
        When the Lamp Replacement Monitor Timer is reset, the LAMP REPLACEMENT indicator stops lighting.
