Your Optoma ES526 projector uses the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp . When the Optoma ES526 projector lamp is approaching end of life, you may notice the Lamp-LED light flashing red or the picture quality starting to get poor resolution with washed out colours. As the projector lamp approaches end of life, the projector lamp replacement message flashes on screen. Change your projector lamp immediately. Installing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp

Before replacing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp follow these important safety tips:

Switch off the power to the Optoma ES526 projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
Disconnect the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

1. Use a screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the lamp cover in place. The screws on the lamp cover and the lamp cannot be removed.

2. Remove the lid and place to one side. Don’t lose the lid as the Optoma ES526 projector will not turn back on until the lamp cover has been properly installed.

3. Remove the two screws holding the Optoma BL-FU185A in place.

Note: The used Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.

4. Lift up the wire handle on the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp and slowly remove it from the projector.

Be careful not to bang the projector lamp against the projector as this may case the bulb to break. Learn how to clean up a broken projector lamp.

5. Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamps from its packaging. Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma ES526 projector.

6. Tighten the two screws on the lamp.

7. Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws. You are now ready to reset the Lamp Replacement Timer.

Reset the Lamp Replacement Timer

The Optoma ES526 projector has an automatic lamp timer that tracks the numbers of hours left in the lamp. If you don’t reset the lamp replacement timer you run the risk of the lamp being used beyond its recommended life and possibly exploding in the projector.

To reset the Lamp Replacement Timer:

Turn on the projector.
Using the remote press MENU
Select OPTIONS
Select LAMP SETTINGS
Select LAMP RESET
Select YES.
Press MENU to exit.

Tips for extending Optoma BL-FU185A lamp life:

Chose the “STD” mode to to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption. This will extend the lamp life by up to 130%.
Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Every 24 hours, turn off the projector and let it stand for 1 hour
Make sure there is enough airflow around the Optoma ES526 projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

Tracking the projector lamp life

]Watch for these signs that indicated the projector lamp is reaching its end of life:

Both the Hitachi CP-X417 Power and Lamp Indicators are flashing red while the Temp Indicator is turned off.
Color tone on the screen may also appear weak or washed out.
Picture has poor color quality.

Safety steps before installing the Hitachi DT00841 (CPX401):

Turn off the Hitachi CP-X417 projector .
Unplug the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. This projector works using high heat and there is danger you can be burned.
NOTE: If the projector is mounted on the ceiling, don’t stand underneath the projector while opening the cover.

Installing the Hitachi DT00841 (CPX401 projector lamp

Turn the projector off, and unplug the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.
Prepare the new Hitachi DT00841 (CPX401) projector lamp. If the projector is mounted on a ceiling, or if the lamp has broken, contact your dealer for assistance.
Loosen the screw (marked by arrow) of the lamp cover and then slide the lamp cover to the side to remove it.

Loosen the 2 screws (marked by arrow) of the projector lamp, and slowly pick up the lamp by the handles. Be careful not the bang the lamp. The Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp contains mercury and must be recycled properly. Do not throw it in regular garbage.
Insert the new lamp, taking care not to touch the actual bulb. Oil in your fingers will cause a dark spot on the lamp when it heats up.
Tighten the two screws of the Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp that were loosened to remove the old projector lamp.
Slide the lamp cover back in place and firmly fasten the screw of the lamp cover.
Turn on the projector and set the lamp timer:

To reset the projector lamp timer:

Note: Reset the projector lamp time only when you have replaced the lamp so the Hitachi CP-X417 projector can properly track the lamp life. Otherwise you run the risk of using the lamp beyond its lamp life.

Press the MENU button
Scroll down to the GO TO ADVANCED MENU option. Press ENTER
Scroll down to the OPTION menu in the left column and press ENTER.
Scroll down to LAMP TIME. Press ENTER To make a dialogue field appear
Scroll up to the RESET option on the dialogue box.
The lamp setting will be set to zero.

Replacing the air filters

Get more hours from your Hitachi DT00841 by keeping your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.

Pull the filter frame’s knob up while holding the filter cover. The filter frame will come off and the air filter will appear.
Take out the old air filter and insert the new air filter.
Put the filter frame back.
Put the filter unit back into the projector
Turn the projector on and reset the filter time using the FILTER TIME item in the EASY MENU.

Step 1: Invest in authentic

You may be tempted to buy a cheaper generic Epson EX7200 projector lamp in order to save money. While these knock-off lamps appear to be a bargain, they will actually end up costing you more money in the long run since they a shorter life than original lamps and are prone to explosions. Since they are often created with created with toxic substitute parts they pose a significatnt health hazard and can damage the sensitive optics in your Epson EX7200 projector.

Do yourself a favor and buy an authentic Epson ELPLP58 projector lamp from a recognized OEM dealer. When buying look for the seal of approval. Learn to spot copycat lamps posing as authentic lamps.Keep track of projector lamp life.

Step 2: Know the end of warning signs

When the Epson EX57200 projector lamp is reaching end of life the projector lamp indicator will flash orange and continue flashing until the projector lamp has been changed.

The message Replace the lamp also appears on the screen. You may also the image on screen gets darker or starts deteriorate altogether. In order to maintain projector brightness and image quality, replace with a new Epson LPLP58 projector lamp as soon as possible.

The Epson EX7200 projector lamp can last for close to 4,000 hours when the power consumption is set to NORMAL and up to 5,000 hours if the ECO option is used.

You can check the hours left on the ELPLP58 projector lamp from the INFO Menu access off the Main Menu.

Step 3: Installing a new ELPLP58 projector lamp

Before replacing the ELPLP58 projector lamp follow these important safety rules:

Always unplug the power cord on the Epson EX7200 projector before replacing the projector lamp.
This projector operates using high temperature. Wait at least 60 minutes before replacing the lamp so you don’t run the risk of getting burned.
Never touch the bare projector lamp bulb as the oil from your fingers will burn black marks onto the projector lamp when it heats up.
Never operate the Epson EX7200 projector with the projector lamp removed.

Remove the projector lamp cover screws and place to one side.

Loosen the two screws holding the Epson ELPLP58 projector lamp in place (you can’t remove them).

Gently lift out the Epson LPLP58 projector lamp taking care not to bang it against the projector. NOTE: The LPLP58 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle this lamp!

Gently insert the new Epson LPLP58 projector lamp. Make sure it fits into the Epson EX7200 projector properly. (Check that it’s facing the right way.) Tighten the Epson LPLP58 projector lamp. You can know reset the lamp timer.

Reset the lamp timer

After you replace the lamp, you need to reset the Epson EX7200 projector lamp timer using the projector’s menu system.

Press the MENU button on the remote control or on the projector’s control panel. You see the main menu.
Select the RESET menu. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to select RESET LAMP HOURS. Press ENTER.
A prompt filed appears asking if you want to reset the lamp timer. Select YES. Press ENTER.
Press MENU to exit.

Longer life for the ELPLP58 projector lamp

Extend the life of the Epson ELPLP58 projector lamp with the following tips:

Set the Power Consumption to ECO option.
Clean the air filters regularly so the Epson EX7200 projector doesn’t overheat.
Make sure there is enough airflow around the projector.

3 Steps to a new Panasonic PT-D5600U projector lamp

Follow this 3-step guide to change the Panasonic PT-D5600U projector lamp.

Step 1: When to replace the projector lamp

Projector lamp life with the Panasonic PT-D5600U projector lamp may vary depending on the working conditions and settings. At 1300 hours with the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp power set to high, the “Replace Lamp” warning will be displayed on screen for 30 seconds. If your Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp unit is not replaced after the warning message will be permanently displayed on screen and the power supply will be shut off so the projector can enter a standby state. It will remain in standby state until the projector lamp is changed.

Choosing projector lamp options

The Panasonic PT-DW5000U comes equipped with two Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamps. You have the option of using:

SINGLE projector lamp mode: Either of the projector lamp is used – projector automatically chooses the lamp with the shorter operating hours.
DUAL projector lamp mode: Both projector lamps are used.
Projector LAMP1 : Lamp Unit 1 is always used alone.
Projector LAMP2 : Lamp Unit 2 is always used alone.

When only one Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp is used (SINGLE, LAMP1 or LAMP2 options) and it’s been used for 1500 hours consecutively, the Panasonic PT-DW5000U projectors automatically switches to the second lamp. When both Panasonic ET-LAD55 lamps are used simultaneously for 1300 hours straight, the projector will automatically go into standby mode. Create longer projector lamp life by controlling the luminance of the projector lamp:

HIGH: Use when you need high brightness is necessary. Both lamps are used with this setting.
LOW: Set when high brightness is not necessary. This reduces power and operating noise while using only one lamp.

Ste 2: Be ready with an authentic projector lamp

It can be confusing trying to find the correct projector lamp since there are so many choices. It’s easy to get duped into buying an inferior knock-off lamp posing as an authentic lamp. Buyer beware! You get want you pay for and with generic “compatible” lamps can leave you with a damaged Panasonic PT-DW5000U. Always look for the seal of approval and watch for telltale signs you are about to purchase a counterfeit lamp

generics have inferior parts so are prone or overheat and explode
generics have a short life and don’t last longer than a few months
Often these lamps use toxic chemicals as substitutes
generic’s can’t be calibrated properly and will damage your projector’s optics

Step 3: Replace the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp

Before replacing the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp follow these important steps to properly turn off the power Panasonic PT-DW5600U projector:

4 Safety steps:

1. Press the POWER OFF button
2. Select OK using the right or left arrows on the control panel. Press the ENTER button. (Or press the POWER OFF button again. The power indicator will light up orange.

3. Wait until the power indica Panasonic-PT-DW5600U_ET-LAD55_projector_lamp_turn_off_step3 tor turns red and the cooling fans stop running.
4. Press MAIN POWER to OFF.

Projector lamp installation steps:

1. Remove the power plug and wait for at least 45 minute for the projector to cool.

2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw securing the projector lamp cover. Slide the lamp unit cover toward the left to remove it. (See diagram #2)

3. Remove the two screws securing the fan unit. (See diagram #3)

4. Gently open the fan unit in front of the both Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamps. (See diagram #4)

5. Remove the screws holding the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp in place. (Each lamps has two screws. Take hold of the wire handle and gently remove the projector lamp. (See diagram #5)

NOTE: The Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle this projector lamp!

6. Install the new lamp unit taking care not the touch the actual project lamp bulb as oil from your fingers will remain on the bulb and burn black spots when the projector lamp heats up.

7. Use a Phillips screwdriver to securely tighten each of the two screws on both projector lamps.

8. Put the fan back in place and tighten the two screens to hold it in place. (See diagram #8)

9. Slide the cover a little toward the right, and secure it by tightening the screw. (See diagram #9)

NOTE: Firmly install the projector lamp unit and projector lamp cover. If not installed properly, the protection circuit will be activated and the projector will not turn back on.

To reset the projector lamp timer

Each time you switch to a new Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp you need to reset the Panasonic PT-DW5600U projector lamp timer.

Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet and then press the MAIN POWER switch.
Press the “ I ” button on the remote control to display an image picture onto the screen.
Press MENU to display the MAIN MENU screen.
Scroll down to select OPTION2. Press ENTER to display the OPTION 2 menu.
Scroll down to SYSTEM INFORMATION. Press ENTER to display the SYSTEM INFORMATION menu.
Press and hold the ENTER button on the projector or the remote control for approximately 3 seconds. The option LAMP TIME RESET will be added to the menu.

Scroll down to select the projector that has was replaced. Select the lamp which has been changed

LAMP1: Replace the LAMP UNIT 1
LAMP2: Replace the LAMP UNIT 2
Press ENTER.
When the LAMP TIME RESET display flashes, press ENTER again.
The used hours of the specified lamp unit will be reset to zero.
Press the MENU button to leave the LAMP TIME RESET menu.

Quick reset:

When lamp unit 1 has been replaced: In standby mode, press the number buttons in the sequence of 737381, and then press ENTER.
When lamp unit 2 has been replaced: In standby mode, press the number buttons in the sequence of 737382, and then press ENTER.
When the projector lamps hours have been reset, the lamp monitor (LAMP1/LAMP2) will flash for 3 seconds.

When it’s time to replace the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp the lamp light on the Dell 1201MP control panel turns a solid orange.

Replace the projector lamp immediately when the message “Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life in full power operation. Replacement suggested!” appears on the screen.

At times, when the projector lamp has reached its end of life, it may make a loud popping sound just before burning out. The LCD display will show “Lamp Defective” and remain on until the new projector lamp has been installed.

Replacing the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp

Before replacing the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp be sure to turn the projector off and disconnect from the AC plug. Let the projector cool down for at least 30 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. Don’t attempt to change the lamp when the projector is still hot as there is a good chance you can get severely burned.

Place the Dell 1201MP on a soft surface and turn in upside down to access the projector lamp cover. Loose the two screws that hold the projector lamp cover in place.
Loosen the two screws that secure the projector lamp.
Pull the projector lamp up by its metal handle. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. NOTE: Don’t throw the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp into regular garbage! Since it contains mercury, this lamp must be properly recycled.
Install the new Dell 310-7522 projector lamp making sure it is properly aligned into the projector.
Tighten the two screws that secure the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp.
Replace the projector lamp cover and tighten the two screws.
You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Resettting the projector lamp counter

The Dell 1201MP projector tracks the life of the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp and will trigger the warning signals when it’s time to replace. Each time you replace the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp you must reset the lamp timer to zero. Failure to do so can result in you using the projector past the optimum lamp life and causing the projector lamp to explode.

To access the Main Menu press the left or right buttons on your projector’s control panel or remote control.
Scroll over the the Management Menu. Press ENTER to access.
Scroll down to the Lamp Reset icon. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to choose YES and reset the projector lamp timer.

Tips for extending Dell 310-7522 projector lamp life:

Choose ECO MODE: Select On to use the projector at the lower power level of 150 Watts, which makes the Dell 1200MP projector operate quieter and with lower light that gives more projector lamp life. Select off to operate at the 300 Watts power level.
Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Every 24 hours, turn off the projector and let it stand for 1 hour
Make sure there is enough airflow around the Dell 1201MP projector projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

Replacing the Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp

Before installation follow these important safety steps:

Turn off the Acer XD1250D projector and unplug the AC cord.
These projectors operate under high temperatures and there is a risk of burning if the projector has not cooled enough. Allow the Acer XD1270D to cool for one hour. It should be cool to the touch.

1. Remove the two screws from the cover.

4. Take the new Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp using the wire handle. Avoid touching the bare bulb; the oil on your finger can leave a black mark on the lamp affecting the projected image. Tighten the screws on the new Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp.

Put the lid back onto the projector. Tighten the screw holding the lid in place. Plug the AC cables back into the projector. Turn the project on so you can reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the projector lamp timer

It’s important to always reset the lamp timer after replacing the projector lamp in your XD1270D projector. You want the projector to track how many hours the lamp has been used and send out warning messages when the Acer EC.J2101.001 reaches end of life.

To reset the Projector Lamp timer:

Open the MAIN MENU. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to the MANAGEMENT menu. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to the Lamp Hour reset option.
Press the right arrow.
The lamp will be reset to zero.
You can set the Eco Mode and Lamp Hours left plus time remaining.

Extending the projector lamp life

Use the Eco Mode for more lamp hours.
Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Make sure there is enough airflow around the XD1270D projector.

This step-by-step user guide walks you through replacing the BenQ MX762ST projector lamp in 3 easy steps.

NOTE: These instructions are also good for the BenQ MX762 projector.

Step 1: Be ready with an authentic projector lamp

It can be tempting to spend less and install a counterfeit BenQ MX762ST projector lamp bought at a discount place or over the Internet. However, to keep your BenQ MX762ST projector working at its optimum levels you should always use an authentic BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp. Generic lamps may promise to work just as well but they don’t and end up costing you more money in the end.

Step 2:

A flashing orange light on BenQ MX762ST projector indicates that the t BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 is reaching end of life the lamp indicator and needs to be replaced. Several warning messsages will begin to appear and you may notice the image deteriorating or the color looking off. When the final warning screen appears you must change the projector lamp immediately.

To check how many hours the projector lamp has, do the following:

Press MENU/EXIT and then press MODE/ENTER to highlight the SYSTEM SETUP: Advanced
Press to highlight Lamp Settings and press MODE/ENTER. The Lamp Settings page is displayed.
You will see the Equivalent Lamp Hour information appearing on the menu.
To leave the menu, press MENU/EXIT.
You can also get the lamp hour information on the INFORMATION menu.

Setting the projector to economic mode will extend the projector lamp life.

Step 3: Replace the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp

Before changing the lamp:

Reduce the risk of electrical shock by disconnecting the power cord on the BenQ MX762ST projector.
Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.

Loosen the screw holding the lamp cover onto the BenQ MX762ST projector.

Lift up the cover. Remove and dispose of the lamp protection film. Do not insert your fingers between the lamp and the projector. The sharp edges inside the projector may cause injuries.

Disconnect the projector lamp connector from the projector (Step #2 in diagram). Loosen the screw that secures the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp.

Slowly and gently pull the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp out of the projector. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn what to do should the bulb shatter.

NOTE: The BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps! If you bought from an authentic manufacturer they will recycle the lamp for you at no extra cost (another reason to buy authentic lamps).

Insert the new BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp first into the connector on the projector and reconnect the lamp connector.

Make sure the handle is fully locked. Tighten the projector lamp screw. If the screw is too loose or too tight, the projector may not turn on.

Re-install the MX762ST lamp cover and tighten the screw.

Reset the total lamp operation timer.

Reset the projector lamp counter

When the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp in the BenQ MX762ST projector has been changed the projector lamp timer must be reset:

Turn on the BenQ MX761 projector.
After the startup logo, open the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
Go to the SYSTEM SETUP.
Scroll over to Advanced > Lamp Settings menu.
Press MODE/ENTER to display Lamp Settings page is displayed.
Highlight Reset lamp timer. A warning message is displayed asking if you want to reset the lamp timer.
Highlight Reset and press MODE/ENTER. The lamp time will be reset to “0”.

Extend the life of the BenQ 5J.J3J05.001 projector lamp last longer with the following tips:

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Use the Lamp Power option on the MX761 projector lamp and set to Economic Mode to reduce the amount of power used but extend lamp life.

Changing the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector lamp

This step-by-step instructional guide can help you replace the projector lamp in your Sony VPL-HW40ES projector.

When to replace?

When the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector lamp is reaching its end of life, the Lamp/Cover light on the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector starts flashing red. It will continue to flash in 3 second intervals. while the message “Please replace the Lamp/Filter” appears on the scree. If lamp dims and the color balance of the picture goes off, you will need to replace the Sony LMP-H202 projector lamp immediately.

Authentic lamps are critical!

Don’t settle for anything but the best for your Sony VPL-HW40ES projector. Always install an authentic projector lamp. When buying look for the seal of approval — don’t get caught with a copycat generic projector lamp! Learn to spot lamps posing as authentic lamps.

Replacing the Sony LMP-H202 Lamp and Air Filter

Sony recommends replacing the air filter at the same as replacing the lamp.

Replacing the Lamp

Before replacing the Sony LMP-H202 projector lamp let the projector cool at least 30 – 45 minutes. This projector operates under high temperatures and you can get badly burned if the projector has not cooled down.

Unplug the AC power cord on the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector.

The projector lamp cover is on the bottom of the projector so you will need to turn it over. Put down a soft cloth on a flat surface to prevent the projector getting scratched. Turn the projector over gently. Don’t lean on the projector and make sure the surface is flat and stable.

Sony_VPL-HW40ES_projector_LMP-H202_open_projector_lamp_cover Using a Philips screwdriver, loosen the screw holding the projector lamp cover in place. Slide the projector lamp cover off the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector. Put it to one side.

Loosen the 3 screws on the Sony LMP-H202 projector lamp using a Phillips screwdriver. Grab the old LMP-H202 projector lamp by the indented side handles and and pull the lamp straight out. Take care not to bang the lamp as you can cause the bulb to break.

NOTE: The Sony LMP-H202 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle this lamp!

To finish the projector lamp installation:

Remove the packaging from the new projector lamp.
Lift up the handle and slowly lower the projector lamp into the projector.
Push it in securely until it reaches the end.
Tighten the three screws on the lamp.
Be careful not to touch the optical block inside the projector as this can damage the picture.
Also don’t touch the actual bulb in the new lamp as oily fingerprints can burn a black spot on the lamp when it heats up.
Slide the lamp cover back onto the Sony HW40ES projector.
Close the projector lamp cover and tighten the screws.
Remember to install the lamp cover properly as the projector will not turn on if the cover is loose or not installed correctly.

Replacing the air filter

Remove the filter holder. The air filter will be inside the holder. Don’t touch the fan inside as this can damage the projector.

Remove the old Sony VPL-HW40ES filter and put it to one side. Attach the new air filter so that is fits into the 10 claws properly on the holder.

Aligning the air filter with the shape of the filter holder will make it easier to install.

Be sure to put the air filter holder back into the projector making sure it aligned up properly. If not, the projector will not turn back on!

Wipe off any dust from the ventilation intake holes using a soft cloth. Put the projector back in its original position and turn it on. You’ll need to reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the projector lamp timer

Turn the Sony VPL-HW40ES projector back on.
Using the remote, scroll down to the Setup Menu.
Press Enter.

A Lamp Setting message will appear asking you if the projector lamp has been replaced.

Click on Yes.

You will see a confirmation message and the Proejctor Lamp Timer will be automatically reset to zero.

You can see the number of hours left on your lamp by going to the Information Menu.

4-steps to installing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp

Follow these important safety tips before replacing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp:

Switch off the power to the Optoma DX319 projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
Disconnect the power cord.
Allow the Optoma DX319 projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

Steps to remove the old projector lamp

1. Use a screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the projector lamp cover in place. The screws on the lamp cover and the lamp cannot be removed.

2. Remove the lid and place to one side. Don’t lose the lid as the Optoma DX319 projector will not turn back on until the lamp cover has been properly installed.

3. Remove the two screws holding the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp in place.

Note: The used Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.

4. Lift up the wire handle on the Optoma BL-FU185A (SP.8EH01GC01) projector lamp and slowly remove it from the projector. Be careful not to bang the lamp against the projector as this may case the bulb to break. Learn how to clean up a broken lamp.

Steps to install the new projector lamp:

1. Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A (SP.8EH01GC01) projector lamp from its packaging. Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma DX319 projector.

2. Tighten the two screws on the projector lamp.

3. Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws.

4. Reset the lamp replacement timer

Reset the Projector Lamp Replacement Timer

The Optoma DX319 multimedia projector has an automatic projector lamp timer that tracks the numbers of hours left in the lamp. If you don’t reset the lamp replacement timer you run the risk of the lamp being used beyond its recommended life and possibly exploding in the projector.

To reset the Projector Lamp Replacement Timer:

Turn on the projector.
Using the remote press MENU
Select OPTIONS
Select LAMP SETTINGS
Select LAMP RESET
Select YES.
Press MENU to exit.

Tips for extending Optoma BL-FU185A (SP.8EH01GC01) projector lamp life:

Chose the “STD” mode to to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption. This will extend the lamp life by up to 130%.
Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Every 24 hours, turn off the projector and let it stand for 1 hour
Make sure there is enough airflow around the Optoma DX319 projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

Replacing the Boxlight CP10T-930 projector lamp

Before replacing the Boxlight CP10T-930 projector lamp follow these safety tips:

- - Disconnect the power cord on the Boxlight CP-10t projector.
  - Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the Boxlight CP-10t projector to cool for at least 45 minutes. These projectors operate using high temperatures and you run the risk of severe burns if you don’t allow it to cool down.

- - Turn the Boxlight CP-10t projector on its side. Loosen the screw holding the lamp cover in place.
  - Remove the two screws holding the Boxlight CP10T-930 projector lamp in place.

  - Tighten the two screws on the Boxlight CP10T-930 projector lamp . Place the cover back onto the Boxlight CP-10t projector and tighten the lamps screw. You must now reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the Boxlight CP-10t lamp counter

Once the Boxlight CP10T-930 projector lamp has been replaced, you will need to reset the lamp counter so the Boxlight CP-10t projector can accurately track the number of lamp hours remaining:

- - Turn the projector on, and press the MENU button and the ON-SCREEN MENU will appear. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select SETTING and press the SELECT button.
  - Another dialog box SETTING MENU will appear.
  - Press the POINT DOWN button and a red-arrow icon will appear.
  - Move the arrow to Lamp age, and then press the SELECT button. The message “Lamp replace monitor Reset?” is displayed.
  - Select [Yes] to reset the Timer.
    When the Lamp Replacement Monitor Timer is reset, the LAMP REPLACEMENT indicator stops lighting.
