Need help Samsung HLT5076SX

This morning the tv was working fine, then there was a loud popping noise and the tv went blank. It will try to power up but after a few cycles shuts down. I removed the lamp after reading several posts on this sight and it is busted. Do you think that will be the only problem? I do not want to spend the money for a lamp only to find out it is something much more expensive wrong with the tv. We've had it for about 4 years, husband is disabled so the tv is on 18+ hours a day.

95% of the time when this happen, it is because we already reached or exceed the average lifespan of the lamp. and replacing the lamp will make the trick. :mrgreen:

Thanks for the info but we decided to just purchase a new tv. I guess this one will be thrown out!
