......in the light engine of a 65HM167? I'm guessing it's in the rectangular metal box that has the smaller fan attached to it. But how to get in there to replace the DLP chip?
Since I can not find a TV parts replacer in my area to work on it, I decided to tackle this one myself. I have a replacement DLP chip on order, and have the light engine in front of me. Any help (or photos) would be greatly appreciated!
Any clue where the DLP chip is located....

Hello!
The DLP chip is located on a (most of the times metal enclosed) DMD board which sits atop of the light engine right below the projector lens. It has a harness, usually a metal clip holding it not unlike a PCUs possessor, it is very laborious to replace but not difficult. I am sure someone on this blog has posted pics before... I will look for them..
