HLP5063WX/XAA Need help with Color Wheel

Hi!

Wow. What a bunch of great information!! I read some other posts and quickly figured out that my Color Wheel needed to be replaced. I found the guide and followed it (best I could) and in about 30 minutes I had the color wheel out!

Well, it was shattered. So I cleaned up the mess and started to find a replacement. But I'm having trouble figuring out a replacement number.

Hereis the pics of the Color Wheel:



Now on this picture there appears to be some spots on a lens (at least I think its a lens). Is this something that I should be concerned with?


Should I replace just the wheel or the entire housing? There is a lot of glass shards that appear to be lodged in the housing seal. I dont know if that will cause any problems.

Any ideas/knowledge on part numbers purchasing locations would be most helpful!

Hi Chris.

I think you need the entire housing. I always recommend buying at discount-merchant.com because they have very good prices, unfortunetely they're out of stock of the part you need. But you can look for it at samsungparts.com.
