Broken screen
My buddy has the 73" Mitsu and thanks to his angry Ex his screen has been ruined. She kicked it near the bottom of the screen and now the entire thing is littered with white streaks. I believe the mirrors are still good but I am not sure how to go about replacing the screen. Is there anything else I should be worried about besides the screen? Any info on repairs, replacement or more worries would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Broken screen
George,
This reminds me of an ex girl friend, aarggghh!!! I feel for your buddy. Every manufacturer is different, I've got more experience with the Samsung DLPs, but replacing the front screen should be fairly straight forward, but it can take a few hours!
The real problem is sourcing the replacement screen. I know Discount-Merchant.com carries lots of DLP screens, but I can't find it on their site. Someone should tell them to redesign it. With as many parts as they have in stock, it's super difficult finding what you need. And I'm sure their losing a lot of potential sales.
