I need to reset lamp on my PT-44LCX65

I have a PT-44LCX65 and just replaced lamp and can't find my original factory remote to reset lamp.

Is there a way to reset lamp without the original factory remote?

I don't have the original remote either, but was able to reset mine using a universal remote. It was one of the high-end computer programable ones. I would think even a cheap one would work if it has the "split" button you need.

Here is one way of reseting your lamp timer, hope it works.
press recall and Volume- till solid screen shows, then hit recall till you see codes on top left, then hold volume- and mute(same time) till all codes return to 000000000000.
