Samsung HLP5063WX/XAA- NO PICTURE ON WARM RESTART

I have a Samsung DLP about 6 y/o. The set will operate normally after cooling for a couple of hours. If it is turned off and turned back on it will just click, it attempts to do this process 3 times then shuts off. I do have sound but no picture. I have replaced the ballast but still have the same problem. I am wondering if a fan could be an issue. Anyone with the same problem/Advice?

That sounds like a lamp issue to me. Did you try the lamp?

The first step you can take (and the cheapest one) is to clean the inside of the TV with a can of compressed air & a vacuum cleaner. If that doesn’t work then you should try to replace the ballast, since when it makes a clicking sound that means that it doesn’t have the voltage to light up the lamp.
